Buying a House

Oh my word!
Buying a house is a lot of work!

Jon worked tirelessly -- staying on top of everything, providing "additional" information for the twelve-thousandth time.  But from our offer being accepted until the closing was about a month.

We came home from New York and began packing!!!
That was a lot of work too.
But it was worth every moment -- just to get away from the downstairs neighbors.

Scott and Sunny decided that they would be moving with us -- so they were packing and getting ready to go also.  Sunny was going to transfer with Starbucks.  Tiffany and Co. didn't have an opening near us, so Scott tendered his two weeks notice.

The hardest thing about moving...
...saying goodbye.

We love Kirkland!
We love all those who have loved, supported, and carried us through some very awful times and celebrated with us through some awesome times.
I feel very blessed -- social media and technology will help keep us close!

Goodbye lunch at Olive Garden
Loretta Porter and Deanna Johnston

Laura Price and Susan Skinner

MaryAnn Dours and JoAnne Dudley

Margaret Ahlquist and Marilee & Claire Davis

Jessica Laycock

We had a great lunch -- I love each of these women so much and each has taught me and helped me and loved me.  There aren't words for how much I love them.

We went to dinner with Brad, Laura, & Amanda Price and Ray & Susan Skinner
this is the only picture I got -

Amanda and Kyle

Kris Sather and "the kids",
Markus and Anna came over to say good-bye

Markus, Kyle and Anna
watching a movie -- must've been a scary part....they were all snuggled up and enjoying the moment.

We went to dinner with Sunny's parents and her sister Rhianna -- but Rhianna left before the photo's and we had cute little Mila with us too --she is Sunny's niece.

 Standing:  Ron, Kyle, Jon
Sitting:  Gina, Me, Scott, Mila and Sunny

Kyle -- channeling his Uncle Kevin...
We went to say good-bye to Casey and Keri.
Keri was wonderful and did our hair....this is Kyle...SMILING...while getting his hair cut!  That never happens.

We got the house packed,  all the stuff loaded on the truck from our apartment, the storage unit, and Scott and Sunny's apartment.
Cleaned and checked out of the apartment.
Checked in to a hotel for two nights.

And just before we left the apartment complex for the last time....I did the most satisfying and childish thing.....I put a half-empty can of Lysol on the doorstep of the downstairs neighbor!
Complain about that!

Only one thing left to do before we leave.....
