A Truck and a Visit

the moving truck arrived!

Hooray!

This is the only picture I got of the moving truck....

 

The moving crew on the Kirkland side was fantastic!

Quick and professional.

 

Not so the Arizona crew.

We had lots of heavy boxes, and the furniture we did bring was big.

All the crew -- but one -- was over seventy and I thought that for sure one of them was going to have a heart attack. 

Some of the furniture was damaged as they forced it through the door.

More than half of the boxes were damaged....so NOT impressed with the crew....and we paid them so we wouldn't have damage.

 

But our things got here and we before Christmas, we had everything put away downstairs and just a bit left to do upstairs.

 

Derek came for Christmas!!

 

He got here the same day that the moving truck did -- but about 12 hours later.

He stayed for a week and it was so much fun to be together.

Picked Sunny up at the airport on Christmas Eve.

She had flown back to Washington to be with the family for a few days and came home on Christmas Eve.
