Last Batter

Kyle is playing softball on Tuesday and Thursday nights -- he loves it.  The beauty of this program is that each participant swings until they have a hit....it's kind of like sand-lot ball, no score is ever kept -- but it differs because there is rarely an "out".  It's about the experience, the fun and the friendship.

Each night, players warm up playing catch with each other.  They "circle" (and I use the term loosely) up and do stretches.  Run two laps (again this is a loose interpretation, there are a few who sort of walk one lap and it's good).  Then they are divided into teams.  Each team bats -- and everyone swings until they hit.....so the last batter brings anyone still on base home, and ends their turn at bat.  Then they switch.  We usually get thru two or three innings a night.....it's great fun to watch.

So, here's the video of last night -- Kyle's "last batter".....

Love watching this boy play!
