Kyle had follow-up visits for everything in the month of June -- results:
Hematology/Oncology (Hem/Onc) -- Blood levels are all good, although white blood cell count is still a little bit low. One doctor was concerned because of his weight gain. The other, said, "I'm quite pleased with the make-up growth he's had. When we first saw him he was in the 5th percentile (Down syndrome chart) for height and in the 25th percentile for weight. He's now in the 50th percentile for height and 75th percentile for weight. If the weight continues then we'll get worried, but for now, I'm pleased with the growth." -- See you in 6 months.
Neurology -- His gait is improved, somewhat wide and unsteady but he no longer has as much foot drop. Blood counts have improved both the vitamin B12 and the methylmalonic acid (which is a better indicator of vitamin B12 deficiency). -- See you in 6 months
Complex Spine -- CT scan shows some bone re-growth, but it isn't impacting the spinal cord....we'll keep an eye on it, if you notice weakness or other symptoms, call right away, otherwise -- See you in 6 months!
All follow-ups good and DONE -- for 6 months!
