Stake Activity Days

Our Stake had a Stake-wide Activity Days for the 8-11 year-old girls.

Charlotte's Web was the theme.  The gym was set up as a county fair, with fair food and games.  There were 4 individual rooms where each girl passed off one item in each of the four areas in the Faith in God booklet. 

The girls were divided into groups by age -- each had a lanyard with one of the characters from the story, and that was their group.

Wilbur's room was about developing talents

Charlotte's room was serving others

Fern's room was about Young Women's program

Templeton's room was about Learning and Living the Gospel

Our ward was in charge of Templeton's room which we decorated as the inside of the barn.

Our "Templeton" was a brother from our ward -- he is six foot five and dressed like a rat.  He talked about how he didn't always choose the right, but he was working on it, and how we are happier when we choose the right and then he taught the girls to sing, "Choose the Right" from the Hymn book.

At the end of the presentation, he gave each of the girls a gummy rat and asked them to please be respectful and not eat them in his presence....

It was a fun morning.
