Mariner's Weekend

Kyle decided it was time to see a Mariner's game.

We found a Saturday afternoon game when they were playing the Chicago Cubs.
It was also -- "throwback" day.
Uniforms were from 1900 and it was a very fun day.
Prepping the field
And the Mariner's Moose!

It was very cool
President Taft (in period dress) threw out the first pitch
And the announcer had a megaphone (okay, it was rigged with a microphone, but it looked cool).

Safeco Field ~ formerly known as ~ Yessler Way Park
Mariners ~ formerly know as ~ Turks

He does LOVE a baseball game!
And he loves to buy souvenirs!

After the game we checked in to our hotel -- on the waterfront

This is our view of Elliott Bay from the room

The wheel and Safeco field from the window

You can't see it really well -- but that's a wedding dress hanging in the window of the room across from us!

Sunset.... gorgeous

The next day we took the ferry to Bainbridge and drove up to Kingston and took the ferry to Edmonds and then came home....it was lots of fun.

The city from the front of the ferry

The city from the back of the ferry

Mt. Rainier from the ferry

~ Great weekend ~
