This was a year of firsts for us.
We went to Redmond Derby Days
and
We came to the Evergreen State Fair in Monroe.
Kyle watching the little roller-coaster
The food was a HUGE disappointment! We were so excited to go and have "fair" food, and it wasn't even good. Not one thing was good. Kyle wouldn't even eat his fries ~ and how can you ruin fries?
We saw a demonstration of Native dances.
**********************************************
Oh, I take it back ~ Jon had a slush puppy which was fantastic!
if you've never had a slush puppy ~ it's kind of like a slurpee only about 10,000 times better!
**********************************************
We made a mad dash through the veggie/quilt/handicraft display building...
Kyle didn't stop to look at anything....and so that we didn't lose him, neither did we!
We saw some cows ~
~we saw the 4H dogs ~
Kyle and I rode the little roller-coaster.
The safety bar didn't click over our laps....oops! But the guy let us ride anyway. As we went down the ONE hill the first time, Kyle said, "Whoooo"!
He had fun though ~ and a fun victory for him ~ this was definitely out of his comfort zone, but he was brave!
We rode the carousel....always a favorite.
And then we went home.
You weren't there very long, you say.
You are right....we weren't there more than 2 hours!
But we went ~ then we got real fries!
It was a good time.
