Heading Home

We left Gunnison and headed toward Arizona

in the afternoon on Saturday, March 15th.

Ready to go....and looking cool

in their University of Utah shades!

 

We drove to St. George where we stopped for the night.

We had dinner at Chile's.

Drew had chips and salsa.

Kyle had fries.

Drew -- ready for bed in U of U pj's.

 

The drive to Las Vegas was quick....and then...

because everyone was heading home from Vegas,

and there is no interstate between Phoenix and Las Vegas,

traffic came to a screeching halt in places.

The scenery was gorgeous -- and no, I'm not talking about the power lines.

Welcome to Arizona

Now STOP!

It took us 45 minutes to drive the last five miles

into Kingman.

Nice cargo in this truck...

Piles of rocks....

Joshua Tree scenic byway....

 

All told -- it took us nine hours to drive from St. George to our home.

On the way to Salt Lake -- the same distance took Jon 6 hours.

Note to self:  Do Not drive home on a Sunday!
