School

Kyle completed ninth grade at Redmond Jr. High school. He was slated to attend Lake WAshington High School -- which is our home school. But all of his friends, and the school community that know him are attending Redmond High school. Jon and I started early and visited both programs to see what they had to offer. It was clear that Redmond High school would be the best fit.

After months of communication, we finally got it "ironed" out -- by obtaining a variance, and withdrawing him from Lake WAshington and enrolling him in Redmond. Shortly there after, the district informed us that since Redmond was not accepting any students on variance that the district was making Redmond High Kyle's placement. Woo hoo! With a placement, you get transportation!

Whichever way it worked out -- I am so thankful that he will be in the right program, that best fits his needs and keeps him with his friends!
