Fire Stations and Police Stations
Okay, so I did that big post about going to the Fire Station.
Kyle is obsessed!
And the boy has a one track mind!
So here are a few more adventures at fire stations and at the police station that we've had this summer.
Station 26
Station 26
Station 26 is the station closest to our house. We've been there several times. On this particular day, they let Kyle sit in the truck.
Sunny devised a cunning plan to get Kyle and Dexter to take a walk. They walked from our house to the fire station (about 1 mile). They got their tour, Kyle sat in the truck, and the ambulance, and he got to turn on the lights in the ambulance.
I think this photo says it all...
"Happiness is sitting in the ambulance, and turning on the lights."
They told him to come back ~ ANYTIME
and he wants to go everyday!
Officer Mike
We came across Officer Mike in his cruiser in a parking lot. He let Kyle sit in the car and then posed for a photo....Then he gave me his card and asked me to e-mail him a copy. He was so kind.
Kirkland Police Station
One day we stopped at the police station and Officer Voss came out and started her car, turned on the lights, and posed for a photo -- she wasn't quite sure what to make of Kyle, although she did give him a small piece of advice -- "Change your shirt to one that says, 'Police'." We got him one....but he still loves the Fire shirt.
Officer Voss
The "paddy-wagon"
Kyle's New Firefighters Shirt!
He loves this shirt...it matches his hat!
Station 27
Station 27 is home of the big ladder truck -- it takes two people to drive this truck. One in the front, and one sitting way high up on the back of the truck -- he drives the back wheels.
Kyle sat in the truck, but the climb up to the back compartment, was pretty steep and he didn't make that climb, although he could have.
Firefighters at Station 27
Oh YEAH, Fire trucks are COOL!
