Just the other day, I was at lunch with a friend, and I heard a shriek, then a couple of other ladies called her over, talked for a minute or two, and then said to her, "That's Kyle's mom -- how do you know her?" Then one of them came to our table, and said to me, "Hi, your Kyle's mom.", and then proceeded to tell me how she knows Kyle. This is not an isolated incident -- people in the places we go quite often, smile indulgently when we come in.
We, on occasion, enjoy going to the Outback Steakhouse. We go every month or so, and some of the staff recognize us. We were there this past Friday, for date night, with our usual group....Brad and Laura, Ray and Susan, we were a little bit late, and after we sat down the waiter said, "Where's Krystal? Get Krystal, they're here."
Krystal and Kyle
Krystal, who has been our server quite often, always keeps Kyle supplied with fries, and she remembers just how he likes them. Sometimes we've come in, and she brings him fries before we even have drinks. And she always comes to say "Hello", whether she's our server or not.
Krystal went to the Seattle Mariners spring training, and brought Kyle a shirt! She was so excited to give it to him, and several of the other staff gathered around to watch his reaction. He put the shirt on over his other one (I wouldn't let him strip to put it on).
Laura, Kyle, Brad -- Kyle stole Brad's hat! You can't see it but
it says "Bone Head" on the strap.
Goodness abounds all around us -- I see it every day!
