Christmas 2014

 

We had a great Christmas!

Love our tree ~ and I didn't get pics of the outside lights.

We took weeks putting them up and they looked great!

During Christmas break, we went to Costco.

Kyle spelled:  P - I - Z - Z - A

So I bought him a slice and he ate half of it!

Merry Christmas!

Jon and Kyle went to see "Night at the Museum 3"

A Surprise

We got a call from Deseret Book saying they had some wrapped gifts for us.

We went to the location and came away with five big boxes!

Inside each box were pieces of the Willow Tree Nativity.

The ENTIRE nativity set ~ no name, except

To:  Jon & Ronna Saunders

on the gifts.

It was beautiful and I LOVE it!

Many, many, many wonderful Thanks to whoever surprised us with such a generous gift!

 

 

Christmas Eve

For the first time, we went out to eat on Christmas Eve.

We went to Black Angus and had a great meal.

We didn't have to cook or clean-up ~ it was a novel experience!

 

After dinner we went home and read the

Christmas story and opened pajamas.

Later that evening ~ The Miller's arrived!

Kyle had everyone sit down and he "read" the Christmas story again.

 

 

 

We were so excited to have the Miller's visit for Christmas.

I didn't even crawl out of my pajamas on Christmas day!

We had a wonderful meal of prime rib, garlic mashers, and salad.

Thanks to the Miller's for bringing the "roast beast"!

CHARLIE

We got Charlie ~ our malti-poo puppy ~

for Christmas.

Although we got him on December 28th...

He was Jon's Christmas gift.

Doesn't he have the cutest face?

It's sad to say that we have become,

"Those dog people".

The ones we ridiculed for treating their dogs like their children.

Taking photo's and taking them to the grocery store with them.

Okay, okay ~ we haven't taken him to the grocery store.

Yes....this is the one.

We looked at several different dogs....but Kyle picked Charlie.

Jon adores this dog ~ and the dog adores him.

We brought Charlie home and Jon was walking along the pool deck, Charlie was chasing him, and ran sideways and tumbled into the pool. 

He now gives the pool a wide berth.

This Santa stands on the landing as you go up the stairs.

I bought him last year....and noticed that

the dog in Santa's pack looks amazingly like Charlie!

Sleeping all snuggled up near Jon.

 

This an entirely new adventure for us!
