Jr. High Registration

Today was registration for Jr. High students. Kyle didn't want to go. He did put on a clean shirt, clean socks and follow me out the door -- amazing what bribing with French fries will accomplish. We arrived at the school and he walked, very slowly, into the building, where promptly the Security Officer said, "Kyle! How are you? How has your summer been?" And Kyle went off to socialize and discuss the affairs of the summer. I got in line to pay fees, and Kyle found his friend, Alaysia, who will be a 7th grader and in his class this year. He visited with her for a bit......then he walked to the office, opened the door and walked in to find Mr. Cassidy, the Assistant Principal. The entire office staff was smiling with indulgent and happy smiles -- Kyle was in his element as "Mr. Social - Celebrity". He walked down and peeked into the classroom -- then we went to have his picture taken. When we were finished we headed to meet some friends for lunch -- where he got to eat his French fries.

It's going to be a lllooooong two weeks until school starts --
