Our Young Man is one of the "Big Boys"

I received the following e-mail today --
Our Young Man
Hi Ronna, Today the staff thought Kyle had disappeared for lunch. Of course he was in the lunch room seat with two fo the girls who had been peer mentors in the classroom last year. This is the big table and the football players sit there. Kyle is in his glory with all of the attention. They went and picked out a football jersey for Kyle to wear today. He will be wearing it home and we were wondering if you would send it back in on Monday. Kyle will be doing lunch with the big boys from now on. Have a great wee-end! -- Darlene
So, "Our Young Man" came home wearing his jersey -- which we may not be able to get away from him so it can be returned -- and happy as could be. I love that his teacher and the aides are so caring and willing to work for his success. And yes, I teared up, when you are unsure that total acceptance will ever be achieved, small acts of kindness like this mean the world!
